As part of the bridge project linking Mantes-la-Jolie and Limay, an exceptional river logistics operation marked a decisive step in the construction process. A 36-metre pedestrian and cycling bridge, assembled off-site in the Vosges, was transported by barge from the port of Limay before being precisely installed in its final position. This choice of river transport ensured a smooth and safe delivery while significantly reducing the impact on urban traffic. The operation illustrates the advantages of fluvial logistics for complex infrastructure projects, combining efficiency, sustainability, and careful integration within the urban context.
