It is a pedestrian- and cycle bridge that crosses the railway tracks of the Angers-Saint Laud station to link the rue Fulton to the south and the rue Auguste Gautier to the north. The aim of the new structure is to improve the connection between the two districts separated by the railway line and to provide direct access to the platforms from the street.
The work is in harmony with the dynamics of a renewal of the site and the new public spaces it connects. The bridge runs in a large curve to create urban continuity between the Place Pierre Semard and the Place Giffard-Langevin.
