Yesterday evening during a ceremony in Berlin, Dietmar Feichtinger, Barbara Feichtinger and the engineer Wolfgang Strobl received the Renault Future Traffic Award in Berlin for the footbridge over the Rhin. This 230 m freespan arche footbridge is linking Weil-am-Rhein (Germany) to Huningue in France.

The bridge of the three borders is the transnational guesture and a local communication between France and Germany. The architecture of the foot- and cycle bridge doesn’t go for a pathos and didactic, but for lightness and elegance.
