Every two years since 1967, the Zentralvereinigung of architects in Austria awards clients and architects having contributed together to an exceptional building with the ‘Bauherrenpreis’.
The award recognizes buildings that in design, in architectural form and in its social commitment showing an innovative character and can be described as exemplary due to intensive cooperation between
the client and architects.
132 projects were submitted and 14 buildings awarded throughout Austria in 2009.
The Mayor Josef Gruber, acting on behalf of the community Taufkirchen an der Pram, received the award in the presence of Dietmar Feichtinger and Rupert Siller, project architect of DFA.
