Every year since 1967, the Zentralvereinigung of architects in Austria awards clients and architects having contributed together to an exceptional building with the ‘Bauherrenpreis’.

The award recognizes buildings that in design, in architectural form and in its social commitment showing an innovative character and can be described as exemplary due to intensive cooperation between the client and architects.

123 projects were submitted and 5 buildings awarded throughout Austria in 2011.
