Following its remarkable journey across Europe, the Anne-de-Bretagne Bridge’s steel structure has now successfully arrived in Nantes and been installed over the Loire. This decisive phase transforms the project from an engineering feat in motion into a tangible urban reality, reshaping the city’s waterfront.
The precise positioning of this 2,200-tonne structure marks a key step toward completion, revealing the full scale of the future “bridge-square.” With its generous dimensions and open layout, the bridge already hints at its future role as a vibrant public space, soon to accommodate tramways, soft mobility, and new urban uses. Its arrival and installation not only conclude an exceptional logistical operation but also signal the emergence of a new metropolitan landmark at the heart of Nantes.
