Bycicle Parking – Station Gare de Lyon

This bike parking is located between the Charles de Gaulle Bridge, accessing Austerlitz station, and the Gare de Lyon. The main entrance through a 3m high wooden entrance structure is situated on the river Seine side. A secondary open-air access exists on the Lyon station side, from a small forecourt overlooking Rue de Bercy below the station’s forecourt.

The bike station occupies the slope leading to the tunnel that passes under the station’s forecourt and is therefore cut off from road traffic but integrates a new cycle path that creates a link between the two stations. This path runs alongside the elongated and traversing bike station between its two ends. It complements the unobstructed view of the Clock Tower from the Charles de Gaulle Bridge and Austerlitz station.

It is fenced with a louvered wooden cladding arranged on two levels, ensuring transparency and promoting the ecology that the bike station exudes.

Program = 200 bike parking spaces (32 electric bikes, 5 cargo bikes), 16 lockers, 32 e-bike charging units, 1 reception guardhouse. Dimensions of the bike station = approximately 5 m x 85 m in open air.
