The building is the first hospital in Austria that was certified as “Green Building” by the EU and is distinguished by its compact design, very high thermal insulation and intelligent building technology. The heating demand is 36% lower and the cooling demand 41% compared to the EU-wide EPBD minimum energy requirements.
