The Parc des Expositions Villepinte Station, designed by Feichtinger Architects, stands as a strategic hub at the heart of the Grand Paris territory. Directly connected to the internationally renowned Villepinte Exhibition Center, it offers a strong, contemporary, and welcoming image for the millions of visitors who pass through this site each year.
The architecture emphasizes clarity of circulation and fluidity of movement, meeting the demands of a space that accommodates both large and diverse crowds—from professionals attending international trade fairs to everyday commuters.
The materiality of the station conveys both robustness and transparency: a foundation in light, durable concrete ensures solidity and readability of the spaces, while glazed walls and metallic finishes (stainless steel, aluminum) enhance brightness and modernity.
A distinctive feature of the design is the use of transparent ETFE cushions. This innovative membrane, made of thin air-inflated layers, provides exceptional structural lightness while allowing natural light to flood the interior. With its insulating qualities, durability, and outstanding transparency, ETFE creates a luminous and welcoming atmosphere, perfectly aligned with Feichtinger Architects’ pursuit of openness and fluidity.
